We believe good delivery management should make work easier, not heavier.
There is no shortage of Agile frameworks, methodologies and advice. What's harder is figuring out how to make all of that useful with a real team, real constraints and real work.
That's where Design for Flow comes in.
We don't believe teams need to blindly adopt a framework. Different teams have different products, people, constraints, dependencies and ways of working. A practice that helps one team might create unnecessary overhead for another.
Instead of starting with
"Which framework should we follow?"
We start with
"What problem are we trying to solve?"
Then
"What is the simplest useful way to solve it?"
Design for Flow brings together practical methods developed through years of working with software teams and delivery challenges. The course combines established Agile ideas with practical adaptations, examples and tools.
Some are familiar.
Some are deliberately simple.
Some exist because real teams sometimes need something that isn't neatly packaged inside a standard framework.

The test is always the same: does it help the team work better?
Good delivery isn't just about the person with "Delivery Manager" in their job title. Product Managers, Tech Leads, Delivery Managers, developers, designers and other team members all influence how work moves through a team.
That's why Design for Flow focuses on creating systems that help teams collaborate, make decisions and take ownership. The course itself treats roles and responsibilities, stakeholder relationships, communication and team agreements as part of the delivery system, not as separate concerns.
We don't want teams that are permanently busy. We want teams that can focus on meaningful work, surface risks early, learn from experience and adapt when circumstances change. A good delivery process should create room for:
Focus
Learning
Honest conversations
Improvement
Creativity
And a bit of fun
The point isn't to remove every problem.
It's to build a team and process that can deal with problems without constantly falling into crisis mode.
Because work should move. Not because everyone needs to be busy. Not because a dashboard says so. And not because a particular framework says it should.
Valuable work should be able to move from intention to reality with as little unnecessary friction as possible.
Design for Flow is about understanding and improving the system around that work.
Taught by people who have lived agile.
Between us, we bring more than 30 years of hands-on experience in tech - as analysts, leads, consultants, managers and coaches.
We support teams and organisations to work more effectively without sacrificing well-being by cultivating the mindsets, habits, and systems that enable meaningful work. Our approach blends coaching, systems thinking, and practical tools to foster outcome-focused, human ways of working rooted in clarity, sustainability, and alignment.
We designed this course because we could not find a programme that truly spoke to the approach we follow.
So we built one.

Design for Flow starts with the individual learner.
You learn the ideas, build your skills and use the tools in your own work.
From there, you can apply them with your team through mentoring and, increasingly, through facilitated workshops.
Learn → Apply → Improve → Share
Design for Flow is a practical approach to agile delivery management that helps people understand, design and improve how software teams deliver work.
The course aligns most closely with Kanban, but many of the principles can also be used with Scrum and other Agile approaches.
No. The focus is practical learning and application rather than a framework-specific certification.
The course is taught by Jo Will and Shining Chen.
The material is based on more than three decades of hands-on experience.
